The Volkswagen Touran is one of the handful of compact MPV models left on the market and is also the German brand’s last MPV model. After nearly a quarter of a century, however, the iconic name is preparing for a well-deserved rest. The current second generation has been produced since 2015, but this year the model is ending.

New cars can no longer be ordered into production, but those interested in one of the last European MPVs still have the option of purchasing a new car from stock. Both TSI and TDI diesel engines are available, and the popular People and Friends trim levels dominate the offer.

The People equipment includes 17-inch alloy wheels, a digital instrument panel, dynamic LED headlights, comfortable seats, a parking camera or three-zone air conditioning. The Friends equipment will offer, for example, automatic transmission, towing equipment, wireless mobile connectivity, heated seats and steering wheel, adaptive cruise control or the Family package.

The Touran is available in five- and seven-seat versions. The five-seat cars have an adjustable floor height and three seats equipped with Isofix. Some models also add integrated child seats. The seven-seat version then adds two more Isofix mounts. Prices warehouse cars they currently start from 777,000 crowns.

Traveling long distances

The second car in the resale is the representative SUV model Touareg, which can easily handle traveling on long routes and overcoming difficult terrain. It is mainly sold with a 3-liter V6 TDI engine with an output of 231 and 286 hp in the Friends, R-Line People and R-Line trim levels.

However, there is also the top version of the Touareg R, fitted with a 3.0 V6 TSI eHybrid plug-in hybrid engine. The output of 462 horsepower is aimed at the sophisticated all-wheel drive system via an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Almost all stock cars offer a 3.5-tonne towing device, but depending on the version, the Touareg will also offer Matrix LED headlights, a 15-inch infotainment display, air suspension and an all-wheel steering system. Prices warehouse cars they start from 1,468,100 crowns.
