Wadiz Recognized as High-Growth Asia-Pacific Company by Financial Times and Statista
South Korean fintech firm Wadiz has been named a “High Growth Company in the Asia-Pacific Region” for the fifth consecutive year by the Financial Times (FT) and Statista. The recognition highlights Wadiz’s significant growth and impact on the crowdfunding and fintech landscape in the region.
The “Asia Pacific High Growth Companies” ranking identifies the 500 companies with the highest revenue growth rates across more than 10,000 companies in the Asia Pacific region, assessing both financial performance and expansion capabilities.
Strong Financial Performance and Growth
Wadiz achieved a total sales growth rate of 82.57% and an average annual growth rate of 22.22% between 2021 and 2024, ranking 41st in the fintech sector.
Founded on crowdfunding, Wadiz has expanded its services to include pre-orders and online stores, supporting creators and businesses in bringing new products to market. To date, the platform has facilitated over 90,000 projects, raising nearly 1.5 trillion South Korean won.
Expanding Global Reach
Wadiz’s global expansion is gaining momentum. Since launching its international service in May 2025, the platform has seen a significant increase in foreign users. By January 2024, monthly active users (MAUs) had increased approximately 2.5 times compared to the previous year, and international transaction volume grew more than eightfold.
Currently, Wadiz processes payments in over 40 countries, including the United States, Japan, and China, with an average of over 100 projects connecting with overseas consumers each month. The platform is facilitating the launch of international technology brands in addition to consumer goods like K-Beauty and K-Fashion products.
Strategic Expansion and Future Outlook
To strengthen its international presence, Wadiz has established bases in Tokyo, Japan, and Shenzhen, China, and is actively building partnerships with foreign manufacturers.
Shin Hye-seong, CEO of Wadiz, stated that the recognition reflects the company’s commitment to supporting creators and its continued growth trajectory. Wadiz aims to further develop its role as a platform facilitating access to both domestic and international markets.
The fintech and crowdfunding sectors are increasingly focused on expanding global user bases and promoting cross-border transactions, and Wadiz is well-positioned to capitalize on these trends.
