Wall Hawks Win First UIL Football State Championship
ARLINGTON, Texas – the Wall Hawks made the most of their golden possibility Friday night at AT&T Stadium.
Wall capitalized on its first trip to the UIL Football State Championship game since 2013,becoming the top team in Texas high school football.
The Hawks used a powerful passing attack, two crucial defensive takeaways, adn a game-changing special teams touchdown to secure a hard-fought 25-24 win over the Newton Eagles in the Class 3A Division II UIL State Championship game.
This victory marks Wall’s first state title in school history and completes a perfect 16-0 season.
The Hawks opened the game with a trick-play pass that set up senior Jacob Braden for a 2-yard rushing touchdown,giving Wall an early lead just 84 seconds into the first quarter.
