Waste Collection disruptions in Rennes Métropole Due to Severe Weather

Rennes, France – January 5, 2026 – Rennes Métropole has announced important disruptions to waste and recycling collection services due to hazardous weather conditions and associated traffic restrictions.an orange-level snow and ice alert issued by Météo France,coupled with prefectural decrees limiting heavy goods vehicle traffic,are impacting collection schedules.

Specifically, all waste collections scheduled for Monday, January 5th, during the afternoon have been cancelled.Furthermore, collections planned for the morning of Tuesday, January 6th, are also suspended, with limited exceptions for certain areas within the city of Rennes itself.
