According to investigators from the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office, the driver of the tanker truck braked suddenly to avoid another vehicle traveling ahead in the northbound lanes. That sudden maneuver caused a portion of the vehicle’s cargo—cattle entrails—to spill directly onto the interstate near Oklahoma Avenue.
