Des Moines police have arrested and charged a 46-year-old woman following a fatal shooting that occurred early Friday morning in the city’s North Side. The incident, which took place in the Prospect Park neighborhood, resulted in the death of a 36-year-old woman.

The shooting was reported around 3 a.m. On Friday in the Prospect Park neighborhood. Officers responded to a call regarding a person shot at an apartment building located on 30th Street, situated near the Des Moines VA Medical Center.
Upon arrival, police discovered an adult woman dead inside one of the apartments. Investigators determined that the victim had been shot in the head. Following the investigation, police arrested and charged Sharneeka Evans, 46, too of Des Moines, with first-degree murder. According to official reports, Evans allegedly used a pistol to kill Hall.
