At the weekend there was a burst water pipe in the large house of the Mecklenburg State Theater in Schwerin. According to the theater, due to a broken valve, large amounts of water ran from the upper tier into the orchestra pit. The water has now been pumped out of the building. However, according to the technical director of the house, Hans Hoffmann, the walls and floors of several tiers are soaked. How extensive the damage is is still unclear at the moment. The State Theater’s insurance company has already been informed, Hoffmann continued.
