Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) Sports Europe Events has announced plans to launch two new tenders on June 15, 2026, for the UCI Mountain Bike World Series. These tenders cover the 2027–2029 event cycle and aim to refine the series’ digital, broadcast, and on-site presentation standards. The move follows WBD’s 2022 agreement with the UCI to manage the promotion and broadcasting of World Cup events through 2030.

The upcoming tender process is split into two distinct categories, both targeting the 2027 through 2029 seasons.

The first tender focuses on digital timing and television graphics. WBD requires the winning partner to handle on-screen information, live race data interpolation, and global broadcast feed integration. The company has stated that the primary goals for this contract are accuracy, reliability, scalability, and seamless integration with existing broadcast operations.

The second tender addresses on-site presentation and the provision of LED screens. This component is designed to improve the fan experience at venues, with a specific focus on entertainment and better integration between live event presentation and broadcast coverage.

The current landscape of the UCI Mountain Bike World Series

WBD Sports Europe Events operates the series in collaboration with the Enduro Sports Organization (ESO). This partnership covers all aspects of the property, including media production, commercialization, and event management.

The 2026 season, which spans 14 three-day stages, kicked off on May 1 in Mona Yongpyong, South Korea. The series is set to conclude at Lake Placid in the United States from October 2 to 4, 2026. The next stage of the tour is scheduled for Saalfelden Leogang in Salzburgerland, Austria, from June 11 to 14.

Commercial backing for the current series includes several major brands:

  • Whoop: The wearable fitness tech brand serves as the current title sponsor through 2026.
  • Monster: The energy drink brand joined as a long-term partner at the start of 2026.
  • Michelin and Shimano: Both companies hold “main partner” designations for the series.

These tenders represent a continuation of WBD’s strategy to consolidate the production and presentation of mountain biking events under its unified media and event management framework.
