National Daffodil Day 2026: Communities Rally to Support the Irish Cancer Society
National Daffodil Day, a key fundraising event for the Irish Cancer Society, will capture place on March 20th, 2026. Communities across Ireland are preparing to host a variety of events to raise vital funds for cancer research and support services.
Tipperary Town and Cashel Lead Fundraising Efforts
In Tipperary, local groups in Tipperary town and Cashel are spearheading fundraising initiatives. The Tipperary town group will kick off their efforts with a coffee morning and raffle on February 25th (10:00 AM – 1:00 PM) at the Community Centre. The event aims to raise funds for Irish Cancer Society merchandise that will be sold on Daffodil Day. Last year, the Tipperary town group raised €1,200 at the coffee morning and raffle, contributing to a total of €21,000 raised on Daffodil Day itself.
The Cashel committee will launch its Daffodil Day program on February 24th at 3:30 PM in Foley’s on Friar Street. The Cashel group also coordinates events in Rosegreen, Golden, New Inn, Knockavilla and Dundrum, and raised an impressive €45,000 last year.
