Meta is overhauling the menu bar layout inside WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.26.38.10. According to early reports, the redesigned bar adopts an oval shape with increased transparency, moving away from older design paradigms and drawing stylistic comparisons to the iOS version of the app, though without matching Apple’s full transparency level. A dedicated dark mode version is also included in the beta release.
Shifting Meta AI to the Main Interface
The layout shift relocates Meta AI from its previous position as a floating button situated above the compose button. Instead, the AI tool is embedded directly inside the menu bar itself. Early screenshots from the beta test indicate that development remains in an exploratory phase, as the Meta AI button currently appears in multiple locations simultaneously within the interface.
