Two Men Killed, Two Critically Injured in Wilmington Shooting

Wilmington, Delaware – A shooting on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, near the intersection of 7th and Adams streets in Wilmington left two men dead and two others critically injured, according to Wilmington Police.

The victims have been identified as Ryan Evans, 19, and Wahkee Tabron, 21, both residents of Newark, Delaware. Delaware Online and WDEL confirmed the identities on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.

In addition to Evans and Tabron, a 36-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman were also critically injured in the shooting. Both were transported to a local hospital and remain in critical condition as of Wednesday afternoon. NBC Philadelphia reported on their condition.

Police responded to the scene at approximately 2:20 p.m. On Tuesday, finding Evans and Tabron with fatal wounds. A multitude of bullet casings were discovered near the scene, suggesting a significant exchange of gunfire. The shooting occurred near construction crews who were working in the area.

The Wilmington Police Department is actively investigating the shooting and has asked anyone with information to contact Detective Brendan Shea at (302) 576-3649 or Delaware Crime Stoppers.

The corner of 7th and Adams streets has a history of gun violence, including the unsolved 2014 shooting death of Crystal Brown. Delaware Online highlighted the area’s troubled past.
