Winston & Strawn and Taylor Wessing UK to Merge, Forming Winston Taylor

CHICAGO and LONDON–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Winston & Strawn and the UK-led business of Taylor Wessing today announced their intention to merge, creating a premier transatlantic law firm that will operate under a new common name: Winston Taylor. The merger responds to growing client demand for seamless,integrated legal advice across the United States,United Kingdom and European Union for the companies,people and markets that drive capital and innovation.

Once completed, the merger will unite two international firms with more then 400 years of combined history, complementary strengths and a common vision to serve the constantly evolving global needs of their clients. The resulting firm will have more than 1,400 lawyers, allowing it to consolidate itself as one of the largest transatlantic firms, with a main presence in the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe, and also in Latin America and the middle East.
