An Oklahoma City police investigation into the death of 45-year-old Starla Harp has led to a homicide arrest, according to the Oklahoma City Police Department. Officers took a suspect into custody near Northwest 63rd Street and Meridian Avenue following the discovery of Harp’s body inside an apartment complex.
Investigation Details and Victim Identification
According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, officers responded to a report of a dead person shortly after 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at an apartment complex located in the 2400 block of Northwest 39th Street near Youngs Boulevard. Upon arrival, investigators found a victim suffering from injuries consistent with homicide. Authorities subsequently identified the deceased individual as 45-year-old Starla Harp.
Suspect Arrest and Jail Booking
Homicide detectives identified a suspect during the course of their inquiry and located him near Northwest 63rd Street and Meridian Avenue, as reported by KOCO. Police interviewed the individual before booking him into the Oklahoma County Detention Center on suspicion of murder. Law enforcement officials have withheld the suspect’s name pending the formal filing of charges by prosecutors.
