Walter Learning Launches Function-Study Payroll Manager Program

Marseille, France – March 2, 2026 – Walter Learning, a leading provider of online professional training, has announced a new work-study program for aspiring payroll managers. The 18-month contract offers participants the opportunity to gain practical experience while completing their training.

Program Details

The work-study program combines four days of work at a partner company with one day of distance learning. Participants will receive a salary ranging from €760 to €1,801 per month, in accordance with the legal salary scale. The training is fully covered, with no costs to the participant.

Responsibilities of a Payroll Manager

As a payroll manager, trainees will be responsible for:

• Administratively managing employee contracts
• Applying legal and conventional rules to employee pay
• Preparing pay slips by collecting and analyzing relevant information (working time, leave, overtime, bonuses, taxes, contributions, illness, advances, meal vouchers, etc.)
• Controlling and entering payroll data into software (ERP systems, etc.)
• Performing post-payroll tasks (archiving, payment of social charges, etc.)
• Handling cross-functional tasks (monitoring health files, welfare, etc.)

Candidate Profile
