Yesterday, the Wranå siblings took a historic Olympic gold in mixed curling.

But the loss of the heroes will be short-lived.

It has hardly escaped anyone’s notice that the Wranå siblings are newly minted golden heroes.

This after yesterday’s dramatic win in the mixed curling final against the USA.

But only one of the siblings got to celebrate by wailing all night and banging their heels on the ceiling – because Rasmus had to jump into bed early.

– Rasmus gets a piece of cake, then we send him to bed because they have competitions tomorrow. But it’s not a pity for him, he gets 30 more hours on the ice, said coach Andreas Prytz during the gold celebration.

Back tonight

Does that sound harsh? Naaaah.

Because after an Olympic gold, it is quite reasonable to have a bloody tooth.

At least that’s how it is for the main character himself, who stepped on the ice already at 08.30 this morning – to train with Lag Edin, who play for the first time tonight against Italy.

The team consists of Simon Olofsson, Christoffer Sundgren, Oskar Eriksson, Niklas Edin and Rasmus Wranå.

A well-coordinated group, to say the least, whose goal is to defend the Olympic gold they won in Beijing 2022. In addition, they have an Olympic silver from 2018 as well as several EC and WC gold in the trophy cabinet.

At 19.05 tonight, the first draw for the Swedish medal jump is made. In addition to the host country, Sweden will face Great Britain, Canada, China, USA, Germany, Switzerland, Norway and the Czech Republic in the group stage.

Isabella Wranå, in turn, gets on a plane home to Sweden on Thursday.
