Crystal Palace Women’s manager, Jo Potter, has been awarded the WSL2 Manager of the Month title for December. This recognition follows a accomplished month for the Eagles, who secured maximum points from their two league fixtures.

Palace Women began December with an impressive 3-0 victory at home against Birmingham city, who were second in the league at the time. They followed this up with a hard-fought 3-2 win away at Bristol City, currently positioned in third place. These two wins propelled Palace up the WSL2 table.

The six points earned in december saw crystal Palace climb to fifth in the league standings. Potter’s team is now within striking distance of the play-off positions, trailing by just three points.

Upon receiving the award, Potter credited her team and staff, stating, “We knew what a tough last week that was going to be before the Christmas break, but I think it’s a credit to my staff, first and foremost, and to every single player that was in and around the squad. I think it was deserved for the whole team and the whole squad.”

The Manager of the Month award is determined by an independent panel comprised of League Managers Association (LMA) Members, respected football pundits, former professional players, and journalists specializing in the women’s game, ensuring a comprehensive and unbiased selection process.

Congratulations,Jo!
