Media Beat – Wuling Darion, Indonesia’s first locally produced electrified MPV, has secured over 1,500 orders as its official launch. The impressive figures were announced at the 2025 GAIKINDO Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) held at ICE BSD, Tangerang.

This achievement signifies a strong start for Wuling Darion and demonstrates significant Indonesian enthusiasm for both pure electric vehicles (EV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) family mobility options, indicating a maturing electrified vehicle market in Indonesia.

Ricky Christian, Marketing Director of Wuling Motors, expressed gratitude for the consumer response, stating it demonstrates Indonesia’s readiness for a more modern and sustainable era of vehicle electrification.

“We are very grateful for consumers’ trust in Wuling darion. These order results prove that the Indonesian market is ready for environmentally friendly mobility,” said Ricky on November 21st.

Two Flagship Variants of Wuling Darion: EV and PHEV

Wuling Darion is available in two variants: Darion EV and Darion PHEV, each offering distinct electrification advantages. The Darion EV boasts a 150 kW electric motor paired wiht a 69.2 kWh LFP battery.

this configuration provides a range of up to 540 km on a single charge.DC Fast Charging capabilities allow for a 30% to 80% charge in approximately 30 minutes.

The Darion PHEV combines a 1,498-1,500 cc petrol engine with a 145 kW electric motor. Utilizing the Wander Flexible Modular System (WFMS) and Ling Power Hybrid System, the Darion PHEV offers 125 km of pure electric range.

The combined electric and petrol power of the Darion PHEV achieves a total range of around 1,000 km, ideal for long-distance travel. Initial pricing for the Darion EV starts at IDR 356,000,000,while the Darion PHEV begins at IDR 439,000,000 for early bird customers. Wuling has announced a price adjustment will occur after exceeding 1,500 orders.

Tested Performance and Mileage for Maximum Mobility

Wuling has validated Darion’s mileage capabilities thru extensive long-distance driving tests, including a successful jakarta-bali round trip, confirming the vehicle’s battery durability and energy efficiency. This performance is a key attraction for consumers seeking flexible mobility solutions.

Google Honors Pioneering Mathematician Emmy Noether with a New Doodle

Today’s google Doodle celebrates the 143rd birthday of Emmy Noether, a groundbreaking mathematician who revolutionized abstract algebra and theoretical physics. The Doodle, visible on Google’s homepages in several countries, visually represents noether’s complex mathematical concepts through interconnected nodes and lines.

Born in Erlangen, Germany, on March 23, 1882, Amalie Emmy Noether initially faced significant barriers to pursuing her academic passions due to her gender. Despite these obstacles, she persevered, eventually earning a doctorate in mathematics from the university of Erlangen in 1907.

Noether’s most significant contribution lies in the field of abstract algebra, where she developed the concept of Noetherian rings, which are fundamental to modern algebra. Her work also had a profound impact on theoretical physics, especially through Noether’s theorem, which establishes a fundamental connection between symmetry and conservation laws. This theorem is crucial in understanding the laws of physics, including the conservation of energy and momentum.

Despite her brilliance, Noether struggled to secure a formal academic position for many years. She lectured at the University of Göttingen under the name of male colleagues, eventually gaining a paid position in 1915. She later held positions at the University of Moscow and Bryn Mawr College in the United States before returning to Göttingen in 1933.

Forced to flee germany in 1933 due to the rise of Nazism, Noether immigrated to the United States and joined the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, New Jersey, where she continued her research until her untimely death in 1935.

Emmy Noether’s legacy extends far beyond her specific mathematical discoveries. She is remembered as a brilliant teacher and mentor who inspired generations of mathematicians and physicists.the Google Doodle serves as a fitting tribute to a remarkable woman who overcame adversity to make lasting contributions to science and mathematics.
