WWE 2K26: Everything You Need to Know About the Next Generation of Wrestling Games

2K Sports is gearing up to release the latest installment in its popular WWE video game franchise, WWE 2K26, on March 13, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC. Special editions of the game will offer early access beginning March 6, 2026, marking the official end of support for last-generation consoles like the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One [VGC].

Largest Roster in Series History

WWE 2K26 boasts the largest roster in the series’ history, featuring over 400 playable characters spanning Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and WWE Legends [VGC], [411MANIA]. New additions to the roster include Rey Fénix, Blake Monroe, and the returning Rusev [VGC]. The full roster includes a diverse range of superstars from current and former WWE rosters, as well as talent from AAA through the Ringside Pass Season One releases [411MANIA].

CM Punk Takes Center Stage

CM Punk is the cover star of WWE 2K26 [Newsweek]. His career will be the focus of the game’s Showcase mode, titled “Punked,” which will be narrated by Punk himself. This mode will feature past and fantasy matches, including encounters with Eddie Guerrero and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, in a specialized CM Punk Pavilion arena [Newsweek]. New Match Types and Weapons

Ringside Pass: A New Progression System

The traditional DLC model has been replaced with a new Ringside Pass system, similar to Battle Passes in other games [VGC]. Each season will include a free version with 60 tiers and a premium season with an additional 40 tiers, unlocked by earning XP across all game modes. Rewards include superstars, cosmetic items, VC currency, and content for MyFaction and The Island modes [VGC]. Six seasons of the Ringside Pass are planned throughout the year, with the Premium Pass unlocking current superstars, legends, personas, and “some unexpected names” [VGC].
