WWE Consolidates Cleveland Production Schedule
WWE is shifting its late-summer production strategy, opting for a combined taping of Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown at the Rocket Arena in Cleveland. The event, set for August 28, will see both programs filmed in a single night. This maneuver allows the company to bank television content ahead of a demanding travel schedule.
A Proven Strategy for Production Efficiency
This approach is not unprecedented for the organization. WWE previously utilized a joint taping in Atlantic City to pre-record the July 3 episode of SmackDown. By consolidating filming dates, the company effectively reduces the travel burden on its roster and crew during high-intensity windows of the year.

Charlotte Date Pushed to 2027
The Cleveland announcement follows a broader shakeup of the fall calendar, most notably the postponement of the Monday Night RAW event originally slated for August 31 in Charlotte, North Carolina. According to updated ticketing information, that date has been moved to February 2027. When it finally arrives, the event will feature a SmackDown taping rather than the originally planned RAW broadcast.
Cincinnati Event Canceled
Further schedule thinning affects the Ohio market. The SmackDown event previously slated for September 4 in Cincinnati has been canceled. At this time, WWE has not provided a replacement date or venue for that specific broadcast.
Autumn Touring and International Dates
Despite the cancellations and postponements, WWE maintains a busy lineup heading into the fall. The company will present a Sunday Night’s Main Event special in Atlanta on September 6. Following the Atlanta show, the crew will head to Birmingham, Alabama, for a RAW taping before embarking on an international tour covering dates in Mexico and South America.
Guidance for Ticket Holders
These adjustments reflect the company’s ongoing effort to balance weekly television production with high-profile international touring requirements. Fans holding tickets for affected events are advised to check official channels for updates regarding rescheduled dates or refund policies.
