Xbox Game Pass to Remove Injustice 2 and Three Other Titles on February 28, 2026

Xbox Game Pass subscribers will see four games removed from the service on February 28, 2026, including the critically acclaimed fighting game, Injustice 2. This follows the departure of Madden NFL 24 on February 15, bringing the total number of games leaving the service this month to five.

The following titles are scheduled to be removed from Xbox Game Pass on February 28, 2026:

• Injustice 2: A fighting game developed by NetherRealm Studios, currently holding an average score of 87 on OpenCritic.
• Expeditions: A MudRunner Game: An open-world driving adventure by Saber Interactive.
• Monster Train: A strategy roguelike deck-building game added to Game Pass in March 2025.
• Middle-earth: Shadow of War: An action role-playing game developed by Monolith Productions, which was added to the service in July 2019.

Injustice 2: A Notable Departure

Injustice 2 stands out as the highest-rated game among the departing titles, boasting an 87 average score on OpenCritic. Players have between 5 and 54 hours of gameplay to experience in the title, according to estimates. Injustice 2 allows players to build and customize their favorite DC legends.

Game Pass Additions and Future Lineup

Despite these removals, February 2026 has been a positive month for Xbox Game Pass with 13 games added since the beginning of the month. Looking ahead, several titles are already confirmed for March 2026:

• Planet of Lana 2: Scheduled for release on March 5.
• Replaced: A cyberpunk action platformer arriving on March 12.
• Nova Roma: A city builder set to launch on March 26.

Microsoft is expected to announce the full Xbox Game Pass Wave 1 and 2 lineups for March on March 3 and March 17, respectively.
