Xiaomi Expands Smart Home Lineup with New 10kg Washing Machines

Xiaomi continues to bolster its smart home ecosystem with the recent launch of two new 10kg washing machines in China: a front-loading model and a top-loading model. These appliances combine modern design, efficient cleaning technology, and smart features through Xiaomi’s HyperOS Connect integration.

Mijia 10kg Front-Load Washing Machine

Initially priced at 1,199 Yuan (approximately $166 USD, down from a suggested 1,699 Yuan or $235 USD), the Mijia 10kg front-loading washing machine offers advanced cleaning capabilities. Xiaomi officially introduced this model on March 14, 2026. It boasts a high washing ratio of 1.25, exceeding the standard 1.03, and features a 525mm large drum diameter to accommodate sizable loads and minimize wrinkles. The machine includes 24 washing programs and utilizes 3D water flow technology to tackle 35 different types of stains. A DD direct drive motor comes with a 10-year warranty, even as the entire appliance is covered by a standard 3-year warranty.

The front-load washer integrates with Xiaomi’s HyperConnect, enabling voice assistant control to automatically lower clothes racks and turn on balcony lights upon cycle completion. Currently, availability is limited to China.

Mijia 10kg Top-Load Washing Machine

A more affordable option, the Mijia 10kg top-loading washing machine is available in China for 799 yuan (approximately $115 USD / €101 EUR). Xiaomi claims this model can handle up to 45 t-shirts, eight sets of sportswear, or four sets of bed linen in a single cycle. It similarly features a washing ratio of 1.25 and a four-way water flow system for improved detergent penetration.

This washing machine is energy efficient, consuming 26% less water and 7% less electricity compared to previous models, and has a Level 1 energy efficiency rating. It offers 10 washing modes, including a wool program, and eight adjustable water levels, with automatic water adjustment based on load weight. Smart connectivity allows for remote control via the Mijia app and voice control through the XiaoAI assistant, with support for OTA updates.

Smart Features and HyperOS Connect

Both new washing machines support Xiaomi HyperOS Connect, allowing users to control the appliances via the Mijia app or XiaoAI voice assistant. Gizmochina highlights that this integration enables features like notifications, automated drying rack adjustments, and coordinated lighting after a wash cycle. The compact design of the front-load model, with a 516mm body, is designed to fit into standard 600mm cabinets, and includes a 15mm embedded installation to reduce dust accumulation.

Availability

As of March 19, 2026, both the Mijia 10kg front-load and top-load washing machines are primarily available for purchase in China. Global availability remains unannounced.
