Xiaomi’s Ultra-Thin Power Bank: A Stylish Solution for Mobile Charging

Xiaomi has expanded its product offerings in the Czech Republic with the release of the UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank 5000 15W, initially launched in China last September. This power bank caters to users seeking a compact and portable charging solution, prioritizing slimness and convenience.

Design and Portability

The Xiaomi UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank 5000 15W stands out with its remarkably slim profile, measuring just 6mm thick and weighing 98 grams – roughly the weight of two eggs, according to Xiaomi’s marketing. Its dimensions are comparable to a standard payment card, making it easily pocketable. The power bank features an aluminum alloy body, available in color variants that complement the Xiaomi 17 series, offering both a premium look and durability.

Charging Capabilities

This power bank supports both wireless and wired charging. It offers up to 15W magnetic wireless charging for Xiaomi 17 series phones, and 7.5W charging for iPhones, aligning with the MagSafe standard. Other Qi-compatible devices will charge at their maximum supported wattage. A USB-C port provides wired charging up to 22.5W, and the power bank can simultaneously charge one device wirelessly and another via the USB-C port with a single button press.

Battery Capacity and Travel Friendliness

The power bank houses a 5,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery, with 16% silicon content for increased energy density. Xiaomi states the nominal capacity is 3000 mAh at 5V/2A, providing approximately one full charge for a typical smartphone. With an 18.58 Wh capacity, it complies with air travel regulations for lithium-ion batteries, allowing it to be carried in hand luggage.

Target Audience and Compatibility

The Xiaomi UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank 5000 15W is designed for users who prioritize portability and require a backup power source for a single phone charge. Marketing materials suggest a focus on iPhone users, though it is similarly compatible with devices that support Qi wireless charging. Notably, Google Pixel 10 phones integrate magnets for enhanced wireless charging, while the Samsung Galaxy S26 series currently lacks this feature.

Pricing and Availability

The Xiaomi UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank 5000 15W is available in the Czech Republic for 1,299 CZK.
