YouTube Premium Increases Prices Across Individual and Family Plans
YouTube Premium, the ad-free subscription service offered by Google, has raised its pricing in the United States, marking another step in a series of subscription cost increases across major digital platforms. Price Hikes Break Down
The individual YouTube Premium plan now costs $16 per month, up from $14. This $2 increase aligns with previous adjustments, including a $2 hike in 2023. For families, the plan has jumped to $27 per month, a $4 increase from the previous $23. The family plan allows up to six accounts to access ad-free viewing, offline downloads and background playback across YouTube and YouTube Music.
Separate tiers, such as YouTube Premium Lite and YouTube Music Premium, also saw adjustments. Lite, which offers ad-free access and downloads for most videos but excludes music, now costs $9 per month, up from $8. YouTube Music Premium, which includes ad-free music streaming, increased to $12 from $11.
