Tokyo Opera City Concert to Feature Taiga Drama Cast and Full Orchestra
The Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall will host a special live performance dedicated to the NHK Taiga drama Toyotomi Kyodai! on November 7. According to event organizers, the concert pairs broadcast scenes with a live orchestral performance, alongside a dedicated talk session featuring members of the cast and crew.
Orchestral Performance and Conductor Details
The concert program centers on the original score composed by Hideaki Kimura. Conductor Kanade Yokoyama will lead the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra through key musical selections from the television series, including the main theme “Toyotomi Kyodai!”, “Nipiki no Saru”, and “Ten ga Ugoku”. Visual projections of memorable scenes from the drama will run above the orchestra throughout the performance.
Cast and Creator Talk Session
A scheduled stage discussion will bring together composer Hideaki Kimura, actors Atsushi Ogata (portraying Oda Nobuzumi), Reisei Matsumoto (portraying Ishida Mitsunari), and Yuuka Sugai (portraying matsu). The panel will discuss the compositional process, behind-the-scenes production experiences, and the specific traits of their historical roles.

The event takes place at the Takemitsu Memorial in the Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall, located in Nishi-Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo. Doors open at 17:15 with the performance starting at 18:00. Reserved seating prices are set at 12,000 yen for S-class seats, 10,000 yen for A-class seats, and 8,000 yen for B-class seats. Additionally, U25 day-of designated seats are available for 3,000 yen exclusively through Kyodo Factory. Preschool-aged children are not permitted to enter.
