Russian Strike on Zaporizhzhia Kills One, Injures 19
A Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia on Saturday, March 14, 2026, resulted in one death and 19 injuries, according to Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporozhye OVA, via Telegram. The attack targeted residential areas of the city.
Details of the Attack
Initial reports indicated one fatality and one injury. However, the number of wounded steadily increased throughout the day. By 18:13, the number of victims had risen to 13, and by 19:37, the number of wounded reached 19, including two children.
The Russian forces employed four controlled aerial bombs (KABs) in the attack. Damage was reported to 12 multi-story buildings, 12 private houses, infrastructure, and vehicles.
A 17-year-traditional boy sustained shrapnel wounds and is in serious condition, even as a 15-year-old girl is experiencing an acute stress reaction. A four-year-old boy also required medical attention.
Earlier Incidents in Zaporizhzhia Region
Prior to the attack on Zaporizhzhia city, Fedorov reported that a 32-year-old man was killed in Tavrichesky, Zaporizhzhia region, due to a Russian strike using a controlled aerial bomb.
Previous Attack on Zaporizhzhia Industrial Plant
In August 2025, Russian forces struck a plant in Zaporizhzhia, causing a fire, as reported by Ivan Fedorov, head of the regional military administration EADaily.
