ZenaTech Expands into Washington, D.C. too Accelerate Federal Government and Defense Agency Engagement

VANCOUVER, British Columbia – November 25, 2025 – ZenaTech, Inc. (Nasdaq: ZENA) (FSE: 49Q) (BMV: ZENA) (“ZenaTech”), a technology business solutions provider specializing in AI drones, Drones as a Service (DaaS), enterprise SaaS and quantum computing solutions, today announced the opening of a new office for its drone subsidiary, ZenaDrone, in the Washington, D.C. area. This strategic expansion aims to accelerate access to the federal government market and strengthen engagement with U.S. defense agencies, driving defense revenue growth.

Located in Manassas, Virginia, within the D.C. metropolitan area, the new office provides close proximity to key decision-makers including military program managers, acquisition officials, and congressional leaders. This positioning is designed to foster faster collaboration and alignment with evolving defense priorities. The office will house zenadrone’s core defense functions – business advancement, capture, and military program support – and the company is currently hiring two business development professionals for the location to support ongoing defense initiatives.

“Having a Washington-based presence and local business development team means we can interact directly with defense program offices and shape requirements early to win federal contracts through established acquisition channels,” said Shaun Passley, Ph.D., executive director of ZenaTech. “By positioning our team within the federal ecosystem, and combined with our U.S.drone production operations in Arizona, we are building a strong foundation for defense revenue growth, advancing American-made drone systems at the speed and scale now required by U.S. and NATO military forces.”

ZenaTech recently announced an expansion of its manufacturing center in Mesa, Arizona, tripling the size of the ZenaDrone facility to enable complete drone assembly, production, and testing on U.S.soil. This, combined with the D.C.-based business development approach, represents a unified strategy to increase operational capability, improve federal engagement, and meet the growing demand for advanced unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems across the Department of Defense (DoD),homeland security, and other federal agencies.

ZenaTech’s drone portfolio for the defense sector includes:

* The ZenaDrone 1000: A mid-sized, ruggedly built vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) drone capable of lifting approximately 40kg, featuring AI-enabled autonomy and secure communications via its patented DroneNet system. Designed for inspection, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), critical cargo, and border patrol applications, a gasoline version is in development for extended flight times. The ZenaDrone 1000 has undergone paid testing with the U.S. Navy Reserve and Air Force for medical supply delivery.
* The IQ Square: A VTOL drone (initial size 40″x 40″) designed for line-of-sight surveys, infrastructure inspections, road and bridge inspections, and defense reconnaissance tasks.
* The IQ Nano: A compact indoor drone (starting size 20″ x 20″), designed to operate in non-GPS environments such as warehouses or military infrastructure for inventory management via barcode scanning and security applications. It features obstacle avoidance and AI-powered capabilities for drone fleet or swarm operations.
