Zendaya Responds to AI Wedding Photos with a Fake Reception Video

Zendaya addressed the viral AI-generated wedding photos featuring herself and Tom Holland with humor, releasing a fake reception video during her appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Monday, March 17, 2026.

AI Photos Spark Confusion

The actress told host Jimmy Kimmel that “many people have been fooled” by the fabricated images. She recounted instances where people congratulated her on her “gorgeous” wedding photos, to which she had to explain, “Babe, they are AI. They’re not real.”

Zendaya admitted that even some within her inner circle were initially misled. When Kimmel inquired if anyone was upset about not receiving a wedding invitation, Zendaya responded with a laugh, “Yeah!”

A Fake Reception Video

In response to the AI frenzy, Zendaya playfully released her own wedding footage. The clip was actually a scene from her fresh movie, “The Drama,” with Tom Holland’s face digitally superimposed over her co-star, Robert Pattinson.

Kimmel joked that the video “somewhat closely resembles a scene in the film” and appeared to be a simple head-swap. Zendaya cheekily insisted, “No. That was real footage. That was real. I was there, for sure.”

Stylist’s Cryptic Comments

Rumors of a potential wedding began circulating after Zendaya’s stylist, Law Roach, told reporters “You missed it” when asked for a wedding update at the 2026 Actor Awards. Roach continued to evade direct questions about a wedding at the 2026 Oscars, stating, “No, I said what I said,” when asked for clarification and later deflecting by discussing Chanel shoes.

“Jimmy Kimmel Live!” airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET on ABC.
