Tennis Tournaments in Northern Vosges Reach Finals in Rosheim and Hochfelden

The TC Pays de la Zorn in Hochfelden and TC Rosheim are set to host the final matches of their respective tennis tournaments this weekend, bringing to a close weeks of competition in the Northern Vosges region. The TC Pays de la Zorn tournament, the second stage of the 31st edition of the Northern Vosges circuit, concludes Saturday, while the “Open des givrés” at TC Rosheim finishes Sunday.

TC Pays de la Zorn: Finals Set for Saturday

A total of 165 competitors have participated in the TC Pays de la Zorn tournament since February 8th. The finals for the second series men’s and women’s competitions are scheduled for Saturday at 4:00 PM.

Philippine Haguenauer-Le Mentec (TCP Reichstett) and Anaïs Raphaël (Phalsbourg), both ranked 5/6, are expected to compete in the women’s final according to reports.

In the men’s competition, the anticipated winner is likely to be one of three players ranked 3/6: Evence Michel (Mertzwiller), Guillaume Olivier (Schiltigheim), or Christopher Cahour (Souffelweyersheim).

TC Rosheim: “Open des givrés” Concludes on Sunday

The traditional “Open des givrés” at TC Rosheim is set to conclude on Sunday after eighteen days of competition involving 170 participants.

Local players Nicolas Kayser (NC) and Damien Lobstein (30) have demonstrated strong performances, reaching the fourth and fifth rounds, respectively.

Désiré Treuschel (5/6, Mundolsheim), the defending champion, aims to secure another victory, facing challenges from Maxime Aymard (15, Oberhausbergen) and Cyrille Holtzmann (Duppigheim). Valentina Jovicic (5/6, SR Colmar) is also aiming for a win in the women’s category, with Méri Ghazarian (FC Kronenbourg) as her primary rival and Laura Kavala (15, Dambach-la-Ville) posing a potential threat. Tournament details indicate the second series men’s and women’s finals are scheduled for Sunday at 3:30 PM.
