Russell Wrestling Club Sends 18 Athletes to Kansas State Folkstyle Championships
Two Russell wrestling groups, Russell Wrestling Club and Russell Elite Wrestling, are sending a combined 18 athletes to the USAWKS Kids Folkstyle State Tournament in Topeka, Kansas, from March 13–15, 2026. The athletes qualified based on their performance at the district tournament held in Hays on March 6 and 7.

Tournament Information
The 2026 USAW Kansas State Folkstyle Championships will be held at the Stormont Vail Events Center in Topeka, Kansas. More information about the tournament can be found on the USAWKS website. The event will feature twenty-two wrestling mats and athletes of all ages and skill levels.
In 2024, eleven members of the Russell Wrestling Club placed at the USAWKS Kids Folkstyle State Tournament in Topeka according to KRSL, with Xzephren Donner and Karsyn Hamlin winning state championships.
