Fatal Fall Claims Life of Local Teen
Bella Fanuele, an 18-year-old Big Bear resident and recent high school graduate, died Tuesday night after falling from a support structure at the Big Bear Dam. San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to 37800 Big Bear Blvd. shortly after 11 p.m. following reports of the fall.
Emergency Response at Highway 18
When emergency responders arrived, they located Fanuele on the ground beneath a bridge support structure below Highway 18. Members of the Big Bear Fire Department assisted in the recovery effort, descending a hill to reach the victim. Despite immediate lifesaving measures performed by rescue crews, Fanuele was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sheriff’s Department Rules Out Foul Play
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department has stated that preliminary results from the investigation show no signs of suspicious circumstances.
