2026 Ford Mustang Mach-E: Front Trunk Now an Option and New California Special Trim

Ford has adjusted the equipment offerings for the 2026 Mustang Mach-E, most notably making the front trunk, or “frunk,” a paid option. This change is part of a broader restructuring of the electric crossover’s trim levels and standard features.

Front Trunk Becomes a $495 Option

Previously a standard feature, the front trunk – equipped with a moisture evacuation system suitable for storing items like bags, charging cables, or wet gear – is now available as a $495 option on all 2026 Mustang Mach-E models.
