USA Wrestling Crowns First Women’s Collegiate Club National Champions

NORTH LIBERTY, Iowa – The inaugural USA Wrestling Women’s Collegiate Club Nationals took place on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at The Palestra in North Liberty, Iowa, marking a significant milestone in the growth of women’s collegiate wrestling. The tournament provided a national championship opportunity for athletes from clubs not affiliated with NCAA or NAIA programs.

Competition Overview

Twelve clubs participated in the event, including Boston University, Brown University, Coast Guard Academy, Columbia University, Cornell University, Cowgirls Wrestling Club (Oklahoma State University), Devils Women’s Wrestling (Arizona State University), Indiana University, Purdue University, Rider University, University of Jamestown, and West Point Wrestling Club (Army West Point). USA Wrestling created the competition to fill a gap in championship opportunities for collegiate club athletes.

The Cowgirls Wrestling Club dominated the competition, securing first place with 192 points. Columbia University finished second with 85 points, followed by Arizona State University in third with 83 points.
