The Chubut Ministry of Education announced the 4th Digital Education Congress, scheduled for Friday, October 9, at the Teatro María Auxiliadora in Comodoro Rivadavia. According to the Ministry, the event centers on the theme “AI and innovation to transform the future,” bringing together students, teachers, and experts to address the integration of new technologies in classrooms.
Comodoro Rivadavia Hosts Digital Education Agenda
The conference opens at 9:45 a.m. at the venue located on España 1066, according to the Ministry of Education. Mateo Salvatto, creator of the Háblalo application, delivers the opening conference titled “Dare to create the future.” His talk focuses on turning ideas into concrete technological solutions using robotics, artificial intelligence, and 3D printing.
At 2:30 p.m., technology and digital parenting specialist Sebastián Bortnik presents “Digital Wellbeing: Can we live well among screens?” according to event organizers. The session addresses screen time habits, daily routines, and attention management to foster a healthy relationship with digital devices. Melina Masnatta, an educational technology specialist, leads the closing session at 6:30 p.m. Her interactive talk, “AI in Action,” targets teachers of all levels, exploring how artificial intelligence can assist with lesson planning and evaluation while maintaining critical thinking and pedagogical intent.
Provincial Collaboration Drives Technology Initiatives
The congress builds upon broader institutional efforts across the province. Chubut Minister of Education José Luis Punta previously met with Rubén Zárate, president of the Comodoro Conocimiento Agency, in Rawson to coordinate technological training programs, according to reports from Mediodigital. That meeting laid the groundwork for integrating educational robotics, teacher training, and upcoming editions of the EduCO event.
Minister Punta stated during the Rawson meeting that adapting education to ongoing technological shifts is essential for student success, according to Mediodigital. Current collaborative efforts include teacher professional development through a Diploma in Artificial Intelligence backed by provincial scholarships, alongside efforts to reintegrate students into the National Robotics League.
