Exploring Oklahoma City’s Vibrant Latin and Hispanic Markets
Oklahoma City’s Hispanic population is thriving, and with it, a growing number of Latin and Hispanic markets are emerging. These markets offer a unique shopping experience, carrying both familiar supermarket staples and a diverse selection of products from Mexico, Panama, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and beyond. From pre-seasoned meats to specialty baked goods and spices, these markets provide a taste of home for many and an opportunity for all to explore new flavors.
According to Census Bureau data, roughly 21% of Oklahoma City’s population identifies as Hispanic. Within Oklahoma City Public Schools, the student population is nearly 56% Hispanic as of the 2023-2024 school year.
