XPeng Launches Extended G9L Electric SUV in Germany with 5.12-Meter Length and 800V Architecture
Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer XPeng has introduced its new G9L electric luxury SUV, featuring a body length of 5.12 meters that makes it 23 centimeters longer than the standard G9 model, iauto.lv reported. The vehicle offers six or seven seating configurations and carries a starting price of 74,600 euros in Germany, with customer deliveries scheduled to begin in December 2026.
The G9L runs on an 800-volt electrical architecture and houses a 110 kWh nickel-cobalt-manganese battery pack capable of delivering up to 540 kW of direct current charging power. Under optimal conditions, the charging system replenishes the battery from 10 to 80 percent in less than 12 minutes, complemented by a 22 kW alternating current charger included as standard equipment.
Three Powertrain Configurations and Pricing Structure
XPeng structured the German release around three distinct initial versions, varying by powertrain and seat count. The rear-wheel-drive G9L RWD Long Range Ultra delivers 270 kW, equivalent to 367 horsepower, and achieves a WLTP-certified driving range of up to 591 kilometers with a starting price of 74,600 euros.
Two all-wheel-drive AWD Performance Ultra models output 430 kW, or 585 horsepower, while providing a maximum driving range of 553 kilometers. The six-seat configuration starts at 79,600 euros, and the seven-seat variant carries a base price of 85,600 euros.
Luxury Cabin Features and Advanced Computing Hardware
Interior amenities include Nappa leather upholstery paired with electrically adjustable front seats featuring heating, ventilation, and a massage function equipped with adaptive technology that molds to passenger body shapes. Rear occupants receive individual comfort seats, while entertainment relies on a ceiling-mounted 21.4-inch 3K screen and a 23-speaker audio system.

The cockpit layout centers on a 17.3-inch central touchscreen, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, and a heads-up display. Processing tasks run on XPeng Turing AI microchips connected to an in-house developed intelligent control system, designed to support a Level 2++ semi-automated driving update via over-the-air software starting in 2027, subject to regulatory approvals.
