British Woman Found Buried in Florida After Allegedly Flying to US to Die
THE body of a British woman who allegedly flew to the US to seek her own death by a man she met online has been found in a grave in Florida
Sonia Exelby, 32, from Portsmouth was found stabbed to death and buried in the woods in Marion County on October 17, after being reported missing by her boyfriend a week earlier.
Authorities believe she boarded the flight to Gainsville, Florida knowing Dwain Hall, 53, would violently end her life.
Hall has been arrested for her murder.
Speaking to detectives,Hall explained he met Exelby online two years earlier on the fetish website motherless.com where she revealed she was suicidal and wanted to be killed.
Hall described himself to authorities as her mentor who wanted to help her, not let her kill herself.

A British woman, sadie Exelby, was tragically found buried in a shallow grave in Florida after traveling to the state to meet a man she connected with online. Authorities have arrested Michael Hall, 53, in connection with her death.
Exelby, 32, flew to Florida to meet Hall, and her boyfriend, Stevie, appealed for her safe return on Instagram, stating she had become vulnerable after arranging to meet someone. He expressed his desperation, writing, “I need her back soo bad. Im lost without her and our cat Meryl just wants her mum back for the best cuddles.”
Investigators linked Hall to fraudulent transactions made on Exelby’s credit cards and discovered a label with his name on a shovel found in her grave. Hall purchased the shovel the day before picking her up from the airport, and it was later found in his garage with exelby’s DNA on it.
An autopsy revealed Exelby died from four stab wounds. A knife found at a house in Ohio, belonging to one of Hall’s friends, tested positive for blood and likely contained Exelby’s DNA.Hall reportedly mailed the knife to his friend in ohio.
