Almost 30 minutes, eleven points and twelve assists – that was LeBron James’ performance in the first game of his 23rd season. The Lakers secured a 140-125 win against the Utah Jazz, setting a new season record for points, and both the team and James were in high spirits.

“I can adapt to anyone. I even know why that was a question,” James told reporters with a laugh, responding to doubts about his ability to contribute after the Lakers’ strong start. It was likely a topic for discussion, but James proved he’s still an extraordinary player, even at almost 41 years old.
