Mexican Immigrants and Their Impact on teh U.S.

The presence of Mexican immigrants in the United States doesn’t just change the country’s population; it also shapes cultural, economic, and social life in specific regions. you’ll find them from California to texas, and everywhere in between.

California remains the biggest hub for Mexican immigrants. According to data from the Census bureau, more than 12.2 million people originally from Mexico lived there as of 2020. This confirms California’s leading position among all states.

In cities like San Francisco, you’re constantly reminded of Mexico. Rodríguez, a resident of a Latino community in the city, described a familiar scene in an interview with CNN: “There are a lot of street vendors hear selling all kinds of food, especially on weekends. You can find everything: pupusas, tamales, tacos, you name it,” the Latino resident said.

Rodríguez added that you don’t see this in other parts of the U.S., and that “it really reminds him of Mexico.”
