Orlando Commends schlein’s Direction for the Democratic Party

Montepulciano, November 29 – Democratic Party member Andrea Orlando expressed his appreciation for the current trajectory of the Democratic Party and Secretary Elly Schlein‘s leadership during an event in Montepulciano. He stated the party has successfully “repositioned its horizon,” offering a vote of confidence in schlein’s direction.

Orlando addressed the notion of offering guidance too the party leader, emphasizing the potential for implicit bias. He questioned whether a male secretary would face the same expectation of unsolicited advice, characterizing such a dynamic as “chauvinistic.”

He clarified that the intention of party members is not to dictate strategy, particularly given Schlein’s primary win and the process she has established. However, Orlando affirmed the inherent influence of internal debate within a healthy political party, stating that discussion “must” contribute to the party’s evolution.
