Blake Lively accused of Using Taylor Swift’s Influence on Film set
The conflict surrounding the film “It Ends With Us” continues. Justin Baldoni claims Blake lively used her influence in Hollywood, including her friendship with Taylor Swift, to control the movie’s set.
According to court documents obtained by Page Six, Baldoni suggested Lively used what he called “the Taylor Swift playbook” to gain an advantage during filming. He says she presented herself as a victim to get what she wanted.
Baldoni felt he had less power in the situation. He said Lively’s demands and her ability to shape how the public saw things put his career at risk.
He explained that Lively’s connections and support from famous friends made him feel uneasy and worried about potential consequences.
Court documents show producer Jamey Heath kept a log of incidents. It notes Lively refused to approve a trailer unless her changes were made. She also warned she would tell Swift if her song wasn’t used. These documents support Baldoni’s claim that Lively controlled the film’s production and promotion.
In a deposition, Baldoni described a meeting on January 3rd where Lively listed what she needed to feel pleasant returning to set.
she had already contacted Human Resources, expressing discomfort with Baldoni and Heath.
Baldoni told friends, including Rainn Wilson and Andy Grammer, that Lively “had the nuke.” He explained that if she didn’t promote the movie, she could damage his reputation. He called this “the Taylor Swift playbook.”
He added that this gave her the power to “ask for whatever she wants because she knows that I know.”
The director said being “a little guy in the industry” facing someone as powerful as Lively and her famous friends left him feeling overwhelmed. He emphasized it was “very reasonable” to worry about what could happen.
