Jersey City, N.J. – Saint Peter’s University head baseball coach TJ Ward has announced the team captains for the upcoming 2026 season. Kurt Thomas,Logan Wenzel,and Luke Schwartz,all returning players,will serve as captains.

Kurt thomas
Kurt Thomas, a junior redshirt right-handed pitcher from harwich, Massachusetts, appeared in 10 games for Saint peter’s in the previous season, making 5 starts. He recorded 7 strikeouts across 17 innings pitched and was also recognized for his academic achievements with MAAC All-Academic honors.
Logan Wenzel
Logan Wenzel, a sophomore left-handed pitcher from Middletown, Connecticut, did not participate in the 2025 season due to injury. His return and leadership are anticipated to be valuable assets for the team in 2026.
Luke Schwartz
Luke Schwartz, a junior outfielder and pitcher from Richmond, Virginia, played in 26 games, starting in 7, and made 3 appearances on the mound. He contributed defensively with 20 putouts and 2 assists in the outfield.
