Nobel Institute Cancels Press Conference with maria Corina Machado

The Norwegian Nobel Institute has canceled a press conference scheduled for today with this year’s Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Venezuelan Maria Corina Machado, ahead of wednesday’s award ceremony in Oslo, Reuters reported.

Machado,58,is subject to a long-standing travel ban imposed on her by the government of President Nicolas Maduro and has been on the run for more than a year. The institute said it did not know Machado’s current whereabouts.
