Walmart and Pinterest Make recipe Shopping Easier
Walmart is aiming to connect Pinterest users directly to checkout on its ecommerce site.Teh two companies have launched a pilot project to do just that.
Pinterest announced on December 8th a new feature: a “Shop Ingredients” button alongside select recipe content. This button lets users add ingredients directly to their Walmart cart, either on the website or in the app.
Walmart ranks as No. 2 in Digital Commerce 360’s Top 2000, a ranking of North America’s leading online retailers by annual ecommerce sales. It’s also No. 8 in the Global Online Marketplaces ranking, based on third-party gross merchandise value (GMV).

How It Works
Pinterest says these features will roll out “over the coming weeks.” When available, shoppers will see options to buy ingredients from Walmart, along with alternatives, real-time pricing, and fulfillment choices like in-store pickup or home delivery.
“Our collaboration with Walmart makes it even easier for people to turn a spark of inspiration into a meal on the table,” Pinterest stated.
