The partnership is with Sakurajima Kaihatsu LLC, a consortium comprised of Kajima Corporation, JAPAN POST REAL ESTATE Co.,Ltd., SMFL MIRAI Partners Company, Limited, and Keihanshin Building Co., Ltd.

The groundbreaking ceremony, held recently in Konohana-ku, Osaka, signifies IHG’s first triple-branded hotel growth within Japan. This project will introduce InterContinental, Kimpton, and Holiday inn resort to a prime riverside location, offering unparalleled convenience for visitors to Universal Studios Japan.
The hotels are strategically positioned just a 10-minute boat ride or drive from the upcoming Integrated Resort in Yumeshima, further enhancing their appeal.

The development will boast a total of 817 guest rooms across the three distinct brands. Importantly, these properties will be designated as official hotels of Universal Studios Japan and represent the only internationally branded hotels in the immediate area when they open in 2029.
