Trump Institution’s Global Expansion and Recent Setbacks

The latest deal happened a month ago. The Trump Organization is talking about a contract that could bring the US president’s branded buildings to Saudi Arabia. It’s a massive project, managed by Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s sovereign wealth fund, and worth $63 billion. He believes the growth of Diriyah – a historic city – will transform it into a luxury tourist destination with hotels, shopping, and offices. But there’s been a recent setback too. A hotel project in Belgrade was stopped.Jared Kushner’s company pulled out of the $500 million building after an inquiry into Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, a friend of Trump, and several protests.

The Empire

Eric and Donald Jr. run the Trump family’s real estate empire. It includes dozens of hotels,offices,golf courses,and casinos,plus trump-branded buildings that license the president’s name. Valued between $1 billion and $2.6 billion, real estate has always been Trump’s moast profitable division. Though,some analyses show a tendency to inflate property values.

Recently, though, crypto has surpassed real estate in value. The Trump Organization has made billions in crypto over the last two years. Some of the most valuable assets include stakes in iconic New York buildings, like Trump Tower – where Trump announced his 2015 presidential run – and 40 Wall Street. There are also golf resorts,such as Mar-a-Lago and Doral,both in Florida. And, of course, international properties, which have grown since Trump became president. Trump still owns the penthouse in Trump Tower, which Forbes values at $95 million, and used it as his headquarters before moving to Florida.

The Worldwide Expansion

According to a document from the progressive nonprofit citizens for Obligation and Ethics in Washington, the Trump Organization has been actively pursuing deals in countries with questionable human rights records.
