Inclusive Nursery too Host Community Fair Ahead of Festivities

In the run-up to the festivities, the “Hojitas Verdes” Inclusive Nursery will hold a new fair open to the community, a proposal that combines sustainable production, social inclusion and a spirit of solidarity. The activity will take place this Monday, December 22, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at the property located in the Malvinas Islands and switzerland.

During the day, residents will be able to purchase a wide variety of ornamental, aromatic and horticultural seedlings, entirely grown by the boys and girls who are part of the program. The fair is presented as an excellent opportunity to choose an original and accessible Christmas gift, while collaborating with the strengthening of this inclusive space.

From the institution they highlighted the importance of community support.”It is a great opportunity to acquire a Christmas gift and collaborate with the children who put a lot of effort and dedication into this activity. The support of the neighbors is essential to continue with our work,” they expressed.

Activities

The Inclusive Nursery depends on the Municipality’s social Development Secretariat and for more than ten years has provided support and job training to young people with disabilities over 16 years of age. the space functions as an area of learning and personal development, aimed at acquiring skills linked to work and autonomy.

Under the coordination of two integrative teachers and an agronomist, participants learn all stages of the plant production process: from the preparation of substrates and the preparation of seedlings, to transplanting, irrigation, weeding, fertilization, grass cutting and application of health treatments.

The Inclusive Nursery will hold a great fair in the run-up to Christmas.

San Lorenzo Celebrates the Holiday Season with Community Events

the city of San Lorenzo recently hosted a series of festive events designed to strengthen community bonds, support local commerce, and celebrate the spirit of the season. These initiatives, organized by the Municipality of San Lorenzo in collaboration with local institutions, included a dog walk, a traditional living nativity scene, and a visit from Santa Claus.

Festive Dog Walk & Christmas Cheer

A Christmas-themed dog walk brought together residents and their pets, manny adorned in holiday attire. Participants received Christmas kits containing hats and bandanas for their canine companions, and a Christmas ball to decorate their trees at the end of the tour. The event added a vibrant and creative atmosphere to the city.

Supporting Local Commerce and Community Spirit

Adding to the festive atmosphere, the San Antonio de Padua church presented a traditional living nativity scene, a cultural and religious expression appreciated by the public. Prior to these events, a large crowd gathered on San Martín Avenue, transformed into a pedestrian promenade, to welcome Santa Claus and his float.
