NFL Week 16 Predictions: Best Against the Spread Bets

With the NFL season getting to the heart of the matter, we begin our Week 16 tour in South Philly, home of the Flyers’ sensational mascot, “Gritty.”

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (-6.5) over Washington’s commanders

Interesting schedule, as these NFC East teams meet twice in the final three weeks of the season. Last week the Commanders snapped an eight-game losing streak in a game that Post colleague Paul Schwartz rightly called a pillow fight.The Eagles have some injury concerns with top offensive linemen Landon Dickerson and Lane Johnson, so this could turn into a bit of a struggle. However, the Eagles will clinch the NFC East with a win, so I imagine that will keep them interested enough to at least win by a touchdown.

CHICAGO BEARS (+1) contro green Bay Packers

The Bears enter with a half-game lead over the Packers atop the NFC North. The challenge for Green Bay’s staff is how to replace Micah Parsons, who tore his ACL last week. Parsons had 12.5 of the Packers’ 33 sacks and was also their leader in tackles for loss and forced fumbles.

The Bears rank seventh in fewest sacks allowed. They will give special attention to Rashan Gary, who has 7.5 sacks. Behind him, no Packer in uniform will have more than two.Even though the Bears have some ailments at wide receiver, the strong and intact offensive line should give Caleb Williams time to act.

I NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (-5,5) superano i New York Jets

The Saints won the race for the No. 1 draft pick, and that’s good for first-year coach Kellen Moore and rookie QB Tyler Shough.

The Jets travel south as they head north in the draft slate. Brady Cook wasn’t terrible and AD Mitchell and John Metchie breathed some life into the offense. Yet, the defense collapsed, giving up 82 combined points to the Dolphins and Jaguars.

Minnesota Vikings (-3) sui NEW YORK GIANTS

The Giants are the current owners of the No. 1 pick in the 2026 draft. Yes, players play to win, and Mike Kafka is running out of chances to take that zero off the left side of the dash on his record. However, its hard to beleive they’d give up their perch on this one.

The Vikings have several injuries on the offensive line and the Giants pass rush perked up last week, particularly Abdul Carter. The rest of the game, however, saw the Commanders’ free runners run through large gaps in the Giants’ defense. Aaron Jones, Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison can do the same, maybe more.
