## Jeremy Irons to Head Jury for 70th Berlinale Anniversary
British, Oscar-winning actor Jeremy Irons will chair teh jury at this year’s 70th Berlin international Film Festival, organizers announced on thursday.
“Jeremy Irons has embodied some iconic figures who have accompanied me on my journey through the world of film,” stated Carlo Chatrian, artistic director of the Berlinale, in a press release. He added that it is an honor to welcome Irons to the festival.
“It is a grate pleasure and a significant honor to take on the role of president of the international jury,” Irons said.
Active in film as the 1980s, after beginning his career in theater, Irons won both the Oscar and Golden globe for Best Actor in 1991 for his role in Barbet Schroeder’s *The Affair of the Sunny von B.*
