Tom Cruise Details Conversation with Taylor Swift at Chiefs Game
During his appearance on NBC’s The Tonight Show, Tom Cruise, 64, discussed his time in the VIP suite watching the Kansas City Chiefs play the Denver Broncos. Host Jimmy Fallon asked the actor what the world’s biggest movie star and the world’s biggest music artist talk about when seated next to each other. Cruise responded that Swift, 36, was “schooling me on football” and insisted the pop star “knows her stuff,” according to People.
Cruise noted that Swift initially knew very little about the sport before her relationship with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, 36. “She said, ‘You know, he’s so patient,'” Cruise told Fallon, adding that he assured the singer everyone would exercise patience with her. The actor praised Swift’s dedication to mastering the game, stating that she was “bringing the football” and handling the rules with ease.
A-List Appearances and Shared Connections
The matchup at Arrowhead Stadium marked Swift’s return to the stands for the start of the 2026 NFL season. The game ended in a 31-10 victory for the Chiefs over the Broncos, highlighting quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ return to the field following a season-ending injury in December 2025, according to People. Swift wore a checkered red and white top and sipped a drink while chatting with Cruise during the end of the first quarter.
