China and Russia Call Trump’s Venezuela Policy ‘Cowboy’ Tactics

New York – Russia and China are jointly criticizing the Trump administration’s actions toward Venezuela, labeling them as “cowboy” behavior. Both nations accuse the US of intimidating Venezuela.

This criticism surfaced during a UN Security Council meeting on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. AFP reports the meeting occurred after Venezuela requested an emergency session, backed by Moscow and Beijing.

Venezuela directly accused Washington of “the greatest blackmail ever seen in our history.” The United States has substantially increased its military presence in the Caribbean in recent months.
